Cory J. Markling, CFA, MBA
Biography
As the Practice Leader and Director of Lurie’s Transaction Advisory Services, I advise clients on matters related to mergers & acquisitions, leverage buyouts, growth equity, and debt capital. I have advised on 100+ successful, middle-market transactions and more than $4 billion in capital. We are experts at providing financial and accounting due diligence, quality of earnings, valuations, financial analysis, capital structure sensitivities, and tax guidance. We are a fiduciary extension to our clients underwriting team, providing increased insight into specific risk and return characteristics that correlate to long-term sustainable value and transparent corporate investment decisions.
The experience gained through my career in capital markets, institutional research, as well as M&A advisory positions me to bridge an assets investment thesis to its technical needs. I am committed to helping clients put their capital to work on optimal risk adjusted basis; watching the capital investment grow over time, leading to jobs, opportunities and better communities.
My unique experience allows me to provide key insights and understanding of markets at both a macro and micro point of view. My expertise ranges from middle market investments to global capital markets; in verticals including Oil & Gas/Energy, Technology, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Food, Distribution, Transportation/Logistics, and Business Services. I work directly with private equity, family offices, institutional funds, and strategic enterprises.
