WBDC: How to Construct an Accurate Financial Plan for Your Business

Forecasting revenue and expenses during the growth of your business is a key element in the development plan. It takes a lot of time–time that could be spent selling rather than wondering. But few will invest in your business if you’re unable to provide a thoughtful forecast. More important, a proper financial forecast will help you develop operational and staffing plans to help chart your success.

In this session, three LBL experts will go into detail on how to go about building financial forecasts for your business. We’ll dig deeper into the preparation, maintenance and presentation of your financial plan as well as:

  • Potential problems including unforeseen expenses
  • What methods to use and how they are effective
  • Developing assumptions in writing and then quantify them
  • Components of a financial section
  • Sales forecast
  • Creating an expense budget
  • Developing a cash flow statement
  • Income projections
  • Assets and liabilities
  • Break-even analysis
  • How to use the financial section of your business plan

Following the panel discussion, stick around for your chance to ask our panelist questions and to discuss your business plan during the cocktail reception.
