Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company, LLP announces name change

Leading Minneapolis-based CPA firm rebrands to prepare for the future

MINNEAPOLIS – (Oct. 1, 2015) – Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company, LLP, a leading public accounting firm in the Twin Cities, today announced that it has changed its name to Lurie, LLP, effective October 1. The change comes as the firm celebrates its 75th anniversary, which is marked by a legacy of leadership from the founders’ fourth and fifth generations.

“We’re moving into our next 75 years year with a new name while holding fast to the
entrepreneurial spirit, resourcefulness, integrity and dedicated service that have defined our firm since it was founded in 1940,” said Managing Partner Beth Kieffer Leonard.

The name change comes in conjunction with a redesign of the company’s identity by Minneapolis-based design firm Yamamoto. “We want our brand to communicate the blend of agility, resourcefulness and tailored approach we take as strategic advisers,” said Leonard. “Our founders and the generations before us would be incredibly proud that we have lived up to the standards they set. Now it is our turn to pay it forward.”

Lurie consistently ranks among the top 15 accounting firms in the Twin Cities and was recently recognized as a 2015 Regional Leader by Accounting Today magazine. The firm was founded in 1940 when a group of aspiring entrepreneurs broke ground to form an accounting firm with a uniquely independent philosophy. The firm was dedicated to the entrepreneurial spirit of supporting businesses in its community.

Lurie’s clients appreciate the knowledge and experience that comes from many decades of helping companies large and small to navigate the changing business landscapes. “We connect quickly with our clients and put together the perfect team that is motivated and energized to tackle the financial complexities and compliance issues of today’s businesses,” added Leonard.

More than 120 Lurie professionals provide a full range of compliance and advisory services, including tax planning, assurance services, wealth management, retirement plan design and administration, technology consulting, accounting and payroll tax outsourcing, and transaction planning.
